  • View from behind showing how deep the drift in the lee of the Cardinal was. The upwind (nor'east) side was bare to the pavement. The drift came up above my waist. - Copyright (c) 2013 Daniel Noe

  • Ron from Air Direct was plowing out this section of the ramp (he beat the airport crew to it). He was able to plow pretty close to the nose of the Cardinal. You can see how tightly packed that drift was. - Copyright (c) 2013 Daniel Noe

  • The bare black pavement area to the right is not because of plowing. It is because of the winds blowing snow. - Copyright (c) 2013 Daniel Noe

  • Ron plowing out spots on the ramp. He was able to plow much of it but a big windrow/drift between the taxiway and ramp was too heavy to plow. - Copyright (c) 2013 Daniel Noe

  • With some help we got 667 freed enough to put it out so Ron could plow the spot. These guys are owed a beer. On the left note that I bent my metal snow shovel hacking at the packed snow drift! - Copyright (c) 2013 Daniel Noe

  • Taxiway alpha was nicely cleared. The sunlight on the pavement melted things as soon as the black was exposed. My windshield has some leftover deicing fluid (water/glycol) drops. Next time I will have to make sure to wipe the windshield after. - Copyright (c) 2013 Daniel Noe

  • Evergreen International (Cargo) 747-200, a 747 "classic". Three of these have been mothballed at Pease since December. They're parked right on the ramp. I'm not sure what is planned for them or why they are at Pease instead of other typical aircraft "boneyards". - Copyright (c) 2013 Daniel Noe
